How it works
Add the ingredients in your kitchen to your pantry list. Every recipe on the site is then scored by how many of its ingredients you already have, and results are sorted by closest match.
The site is free, with no account requirement. Your pantry list is stored in your browser, not on our servers.
Why search by ingredient
Searching by ingredient rather than by dish is useful when you want to use up what you have, or when you would rather not go shopping. It is also a practical way to reduce food waste.
Where the recipes come from
Most recipes come from the Wikibooks Cookbook, which is written by volunteers and published under the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence. These recipes are published here in full. Each page links to the Wikibooks original and names the licence. Where a recipe has been adapted, the page says so.
CC BY-SA 4.0 requires anything reusing the content to carry the same licence, so recipe content on this site is also available under CC BY-SA 4.0.
Photographs come from Wikimedia Commons. Each one is credited to its photographer and shows its own licence.
Some recipes come from TheMealDB and Spoonacular. For these the site shows the title, the ingredient list and the pantry match, and links to the original publisher for the method.
How the site is funded
The site is funded by advertising. There is no subscription or paid tier.
Some outbound links may be affiliate links. This is set out in the privacy policy. Affiliate links do not affect which recipes are shown or how they are ranked.
Who runs it
The site is run independently by one person. If you find a mistake or an incorrect attribution, please get in touch.
